Tessa Mudd, representing Mount Pleasant Track Club and Charleston Collegiate in South Carolina, won the women's 17-18 pole vault title with a first-attempt clearance at 14 feet (4.27m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Hornet Stadium at Sacramento State. Mudd, a Princeton commit who won both adidas indoor and outdoor championships, eclipsed the national age group record at the meet of 13-11 (4.24m) achieved in 2018 by Chloe Cunliffe of Seattle Speed and West Seattle High in Washington. She also attempted a lifetime-best 14-5.25 (4.40m).
